Ideal for automatic domestic water supply and non-potable water use in the household and garden.
The electronic pressure switch TDP DSA with plug from Trotec is the reliable solution for the automatic control of deep well pumps, garden pumps, centrifugal pumps or water pumps - ideal e.g. for garden irrigation, for domestic water supply, for water pumping, for pumping out amounts of water from a pool or for cleaning work .
Ensures constant water pressure in the pipe system
The compact Trotec pressure switch is installed between your pump and the connected consumer (e.g. water tap or garden hose) and the water is pumping automatically without manually switching the pump on and off. In the connected pipe system, the pressure switch ensures constant water pressure when watering the garden or supplying domestic water. The pressure switch permanently monitors the line pressure. In the event of a pressure drop, the device switches on automatically and restores the pressure. However, if the line pressure is reached again, the pump control switches off automatically. This protects the pump and extends its service life. Both the water inlet opening and the outlet opening have an external thread with a diameter of 1" (BSP). The pressure switch is therefore compatible with common connections of pumps, hoses or pipes.
The solution for pumps
The connected pump is powered by the 1,100 W pressure switch TDP DSA.
After the pressure switch has been connected to the pump and integrated into the line system, you only need to connect the mains plug of the pressure switch to your household socket. Your water pump is now supplied with power via the pressure switch and automatically regulated maintenance-free by the TDP DSA.
The TDP DSA turns your water pump into a domestic waterworks
The TDP DSA pressure switch is not only the ideal solution in the garden - with this automatic pump control you can also upgrade your existing water pump to a domestic waterworks, which then enables you to use service water for the toilet, washing machine or shower, for example. The electronic pressure switch ensures a constant water pressure in the line and protects the connected pump from damage caused by running dry, kickback effects or overheating. The practical and compact Trotec pressure switch is designed for a working pressure of a maximum of 10 bar. The current water pressure can be conveniently read in bar on its integrated manometer. The robust plastic housing is protected against splash water on all sides according to protection class IP54. The TDP DSA fits almost all common pump systems without their own pressure switch. It is also recommended as an optimal addition to the Trotec deep well pumps of the TDP series and the Trotec garden pumps of the TGP series.
This is how the automatic pump control via pressure switch works
The terms automatic pump control, automatic pressure, pressure monitor, pressure control, flow monitor or flow control are also used for pressure switches. However, the way it works is always the same: an electronic pressure switch monitors both the water pressure and the flow rate in the water pipe. If you take water from the consumer, the pressure in the line drops and a flow is registered by the pressure switch. As a result, it automatically switches on the connected pump. If you turn the consumer back on, the water pressure in the line rises and the flow stops. The pump is automatically switched off again by the pressure switch. This protects the pump and extends its service life. The pressure switch is designed for a working pressure in the delivery system of up to 10 bar and for clear fresh water with a temperature of up to 60 °C.
With dry run protection for a longer service life of the pump
In the event that there is not enough water in your well, pond, cistern or reservoir, the pressure switch's integrated dry-running protection comes into effect and stops the pump automatically. As soon as the pressure in the line drops too much and the water flow is less than 2 liters per minute, the TDP DSA detects the risk of dry running and reliably switches off your pump. The pressure switch actively prevents unnecessary further running and the pump is protected from damage caused by running dry and overheating. This mechanism also enables the pressure switch to recognize whether there is a leak in the water pipe. After an LED error message caused by running dry, the pump can easily be restarted using the reset button on the control panel of the pressure switch.
Including backflow stop
The electronic pressure switch TDP DSA is equipped with a non-return valve, which prevents the backflow of water and protects the pump from pressure surges and water hammer effects. The integrated backflow stop ensures that the pumped water in the connected pipe system can only flow in one direction.
The closing element of the backflow valve is opened by the pressure of the flowing water. As soon as the pump is switched off and the water pressure drops, the remaining water in the hose presses the closing element in the opposite direction, closes the passage and thus prevents further drainage.

The pressure switch TDP DSA from Trotec is recommended for the following applications, among others:

- Enables your pump to be converted into a domestic waterworks for supplying service water to toilets, washing machines or showers
- Pumping water from wells, ponds, rivers, cisterns or basins
- Pumping out of swimming pools, garden ponds or rain barrels
- Car washing or cleaning work with a high-pressure cleaner
