Wireless Thermostat with Timer Switch BN35
the comfortable solution for thermostat and time control of your electric heating or cooling units
Constantly pleasant temperature - reliably regulated
Please note that this device is supplied with a 2 Pin plug and without a suitable adapter.
With the Trotec wireless thermostat BN35 you can easily determine at which room temperature electrical heaters or air conditioners on or off using a remote control. The practical time control of electrical devices with an integrated thermostat is also possible.
Control the switching on and off of one or more devices. The radio range is (without obstacles) about 20 meters. You can control up to 100 radio-controlled sockets (receivers) at the same time with just one wireless thermostat (transmitter) - always under the condition that they are within range. With the help of the timer function, you can also ensure a comfortable air temperature before you enter a room - ideal fo the morning cold kitchen, the guest toilet, the hobby cellar, the conservatory, the office and so on...
It works so easy:
The BN35 set consists of a wireless socket and wireless thermostat. Simply plug the wireless socket into a wall socket and connect your electrical device to the socket in the wireless plug. With the wireless thermostat you can now set the desired switch-on or switch-off temperature remotely. The wireless thermostat measures the room temperature at the current location and switches the heating or air conditioning unit on or off in order to achieve the desired room temperature value you want. As soon as the preset room temperature is reached, the wireless thermostat switches off the connected electrical appliance until reheating or cooling is necessary.
In addition, a separate or combined timing is possible to set on and off times depending on temperature in advance. This saves electricity and protects your wallet. With the BN35 you simply have countless possibilities!
BN35 - All functions and features at a glance:
With the wireless thermostat, you can use heating or cooling mode to set a desired target room temperature in the range of 0° C to 70° C in subtle 1° C increments (or Fahrenheit). Of course, in order to achieve the desired room temperature, the connected heating or cooling unit must have the appropriate capacity. The timed scheduled connection or disconnection of the connected devices is possible.
Suitable for a variety of heating and cooling devices
The BN35 is ideal for most heating and cooling appliances. These include infrared heaters, heating plates, fan heaters, PTC ceramic electric heaters, convectors, oil radiators, air conditioners, air coolers or fans. The standard maximum load of up to 3.680 watts is fully supported by the BN35.
With a range of up to 20 m
The wireless thermostat is your remote control. Easily control remote wireless outlets from your seat. The range is up to 20 meters, but there should be no obstacles in the way, so that the wireless connection is not attenuated or interrupted.
1 wireless thermostat for up to 100 wireless sockets
A wireless thermostat can control up to 100 wireless sockets wirelessly. All wireless sockets located within a range of approx. 20 meters are addressed simultaneously by the wireless thermostat. This is e.g. ideal for greenhouses or halls. The matching BN35R wireless sockets are available from Trotec as a separate accessory.
Thermostat mode and timer can be combined with each other
The thermostat mode and the timer can be used individually and intelligently combined. Put for instance notes that a heater should heat a room to 25° C on Monday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The wireless thermostat will measure the room temperature with its integrated sensor at the scheduled time and then turn on the electric heater via the radio socket to heat the room. However, if the room is already at the desired temperature, the heater will not start until the preset 25° C is reached. This saves power and the device heats only when it is really necessary. Whether at fixed times or in continuous operation - with the BN35 you always have control when and at which temperature you want to heat or cool.
Switching off in the night and switching on again in the morning
It is useful for devices that already have an integrated thermostat to use the timer function of the BN35. At night when you go to sleep, heaters or coolers may not be in operation. In order to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, you can set the timer that the connected device for instance for it to switch off at 22 o'clock and turn on again in the morning from 7 o'clock.
6-fold programmable timer
The radio thermostat can preset up to 6 different automatic timer programs per day. You can set for each individual program on which day and at which time the timer should be automatically activated and deactivated. When choosing the days you have 4 options: You can either a single day of the week (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun), only the weekdays (Mon - Fri), only the weekend (Sat - Sun ) or the whole week (Mon - Sun).
Placement tips
The wireless thermostat measures the current room temperature according to its surrounding temperature. To ensure that the room temperature is correctly detected by the sensor, please pay attention to where you place the wireless thermostat. On a window seat with direct sunlight it is warmer than in the center of the room. Also fireplaces or radiators should not be near the thermostat. Therefore, if possible, carry out the temperature measurement of the wireless thermostat at one point in the room which ensures a realistic measured value.
Have everything in sight
Whether portable and always quick to hand or stationary hung on the wall - on the backlit LCD display of the wireless thermostat you will clearly see the current room temperature and time, the battery status (2 x AA battery) and, depending on the mode, all relevant Setting options, time periods, target temperatures, etc. are displayed. So you always keep track of the set parameters.
Frost protection
If the ambient temperature of the wireless thermostat drops to 3 ° C or below, an anti-freeze mode is automatically activated, which ensures that the room temperature is raised to 5 ° C to 7 ° C room temperature by the heater connected to the wireless socket. This protects water pipes from icing in unheated rooms.
Also manual control possible
You can also switch on or off your connected heating or cooling unit directly manually by pressing a button on the radio socket. Operation with thermostat function is then not possible.
Saving electricity with permanent consumption shutdown function (OFF)
To ensure that an electrical device is really off and no more power consumed (no stand-by operation), the power supply to the device can be reliably interrupted with the wireless plug thanks to 2-pin circuit breaker.
Automatic switch to daylight saving time
With the "Daylight Saving Time" option, the wireless thermostat automatically switches from winter to summer time or vice versa. So you do not have to think about anything during the half-yearly time changeover and your pre-set ones
Time intervals are adjusted automatically due to uncertainty from the abolition of winter or summer time Europe-wide.
