T4000 – the professional multifunction measuring device

The T4000 is a modular multifunction measuring device for professional applications in fields such as water damage restoration, building diagnostics, leak detection, and material testing.

As a central measuring unit, the T4000 works with interchangeable sensors and electrodes. Depending on the connected component, it can record material and wood moisture, indoor climate, deep-seated moisture, air flow, or leaks via H₂ tracer gas.

This makes the T4000 an alternative to several specialized individual devices and supports structured measuring processes – from the initial orientation measurement to the documented project completion. Sensors from the T3000 series are compatible with the completely newly developed successor model, the T4000, via an adapter cable. Thanks to full cross-compatibility, both T3000 sensors can be used on the T4000 and new T4000 sensors on the T3000.

Robust – built for real construction site conditions

The T4000 is designed for daily use under demanding conditions. The shock-resistant housing with non-slip rubber coating reliably protects the electronics. The scratch-resistant Panda Glass 7H display is shatterproof and designed for the mechanical stresses of construction site use.

The LP12 Quick-Connect system allows for easy operation even when wearing gloves. Sensors can be changed in seconds without the need for tools. The base unit remains the same; only the sensor technology is adapted to the respective measurement application.

Result: A measuring device for professional continuous use that works and measures reliably even under high stress.

Precise – different measuring methods, specifically combined

Depending on the connected sensor or the electrodes used, the T4000 supports various measuring principles:

Capacitive sensors allow for non-destructive surface analysis of building materials. High-quality resistance electrodes enable quantitative measurements in wood and building materials. In doing so, the T4000 takes into account over 200 stored wood species, including temperature compensation. Climate sensors record temperature, humidity, dew point, absolute humidity, and specific humidity. A heated sensor element reduces measurement drifts in high humidity or due to deposits. Optionally, special sensors enable H₂ tracer gas detection for leak location.

All these types of measurement require the appropriate sensor or electrodes – the measuring device forms the common basis. This results in reliable measurement results that make causes visible and enable well-founded decisions.

Smart – capture, evaluate, and document measurement data

Measured values are stored in the device or archived on microSD. The internal memory, in combination with an exchangeable microSD card, allows for extensive measurement series as well as continuous long-term recordings even over years. Via Bluetooth, they can be transferred to the MultiMeasure Mobile app, where measurement series are visualized, projects are organized, and reports are created.

The expandable memory allows for long-term recordings over months or years – for example, to monitor drying processes or indoor climate developments.

Firmware updates are carried out over-the-air or via microSD. New functions can be installed directly on the device without having to send it in.

The T4000 is the central measuring device. In combination with suitable sensors and electrodes, it can record material and wood moisture, indoor climate, microwave-based deep-seated moisture, air flow, and leaks via H₂ tracer gas, among others.

The base unit always remains the same – the respective measurement technology results exclusively from the connected sensors.
Every measuring task requires the appropriate sensor or corresponding electrodes:

  • Capacitive sensors for non-destructive surface measurements
  • Resistance electrodes for quantitative wood and building material measurements
  • Climate sensors for temperature and humidity measurement as well as for determining dew point, absolute and specific humidity
  • Special sensors for H₂ tracer gas leak detection

The system is modular and can be specifically expanded as needed.
Yes. With the TC35 adapter cable, SDI sensors from the T3000 series can be used on the T4000. Conversely, the TC10 adapter cable allows new SDI sensors to be operated on the T3000. For connecting the new SDI sensors to the T4000, the TC40 cable and the 3 m long TC45 are also available, which can be used particularly in combination with an extension rod.
Measured values are archived in the internal device memory or on an optional microSD card and can be transferred via Bluetooth to the MultiMeasure Mobile app or read directly from the microSD card via a card reader.

In the app, measurement series can be visualized, projects structured, photos combined with measured values, and reports created. This is suitable for documentation, expert reports, or handover to customers.
The T4000 is based on the proven T3000 technology and expands it with numerous practical improvements: a Quick-Connect sensor connection for fast sensor changes without screwing, a significantly faster system response for shorter measuring times, expanded memory with microSD support, Bluetooth connectivity for evaluation via the MultiMeasure Mobile app, and convenient over-the-air updates.

Sensors

A wide range of compatible SDI sensors is available for the T4000, including climate sensors (e.g., TS220SDI, TS240SDI), capacitive material moisture sensors (TS670SDI), and sensors for H₂ tracer gas for leak detection. The sensors are automatically recognized and allow for the targeted expansion of the measuring system depending on the application, from building diagnostics and climate assessment to water damage analysis.

Electrodes

For resistance measurements, the system supports various electrode families, including round, flat, ram, and hand electrodes, as well as insulated versions for measurements in multi-layer components. The range is complemented by special electrodes for wood, screed, and insulation materials. This allows the T4000 to be precisely adapted to different materials and measurement situations.

Accessories

The accessory portfolio includes adapter cables for integrating existing T3000 sensor technology (e.g., TC35), connection cables, replacement and special tips, a test block for accuracy checks, and additional system accessories for maintenance and expansion. This allows existing sensor technology to continue to be used, measurement accuracy to be regularly checked, and the system to be expanded as needed – an important foundation for long-term professional use.
