Product Description for KRL measuring chamber CRH100
The KRL measuring chamber CRH100 from Trotec enables a simple and meaningful residual moisture measurement in mineral screeds for the readiness for covering test according to the KRL method - certified by the TKB (Technical Commission for Building Adhesives (TKB) of the Industrial Association of Adhesives).
The CRH100 was specially designed for combined use with the T3000 multifunction measuring device and connected TS 230 SDI climate sensor, but is basically also suitable for other third-party sensors provided their diameter is 12 mm.
Optimum device combination for KRL measurement
The KRL method is a simplified and user-friendly alternative method for checking the readiness for covering of mineral-bound screeds. Using the KLR method, the corresponding relative humidity (KRL) of a chisel test can be determined and used as a reliable indicator of the moisture level of a screed before it is covered.
Compared to other measuring methods for checking readiness for covering, the KRL method using the T3000 with TS 230 SDI and measuring chamber CRH100 offers numerous advantages, for example meaningful results can be achieved even if the material type of the screed is not known. Since no exact material weight is required for the application of the KRL method, no measurement errors can occur due to weighing errors and there is no need to use additional chemicals, such as e.g. calcium carbide ampoules necessary.
Time-saving readiness test with KRL measuring chamber CRH100
By using several CRH100, users can benefit from a significant time advantage when checking the readiness for covering. If, for example, it is necessary to take three samples, they can each be filled separately into one of three CRH100 and these can be sealed climate-tight with the sealing plug provided. The corresponding relative humidity of all samples can then be measured one after the other. Alternatively, sampling and measurement for each sample can also be carried out in one go, i.e. taking a sample and filling the CRH100, starting the measuring process, taking a second sample in the meantime and so on. In any case, there is a significant gain in time compared to other methods!
