While classic heaters operate with heat convection, in which ambient air is heated by a heat carrier and then distributed throughout the room, the heating plate TIH 1100 S generates direct heat using infrared radiation after the principle of the sun - without convective loss.
Here are some uses for the infrared heating TIH 1100 S:
- Domestic Heating - The elegant yet effective infrared flat heating TIH1100 S is the perfect auxiliary heater for selective areas. As it is wall-mounted, it saves space and creates direct heat where it is needed by the residents – whether in the living area, campers, cottages, conservatory or bathroom.
- Restaurant-Use – Being significantly more effective than conventional gas heaters, the infrared heating plate TIH 1100 S as a standing or wall-mounted device is the optimal solution for spot heating of stalls and patio areas or for designated smoking areas outdoors.
- Faster Drying of Walls – When restructuring or drying out buildings, the infrared heating of appropriate building materials causes a capillary moisture transport due to a drop in temperature. Compared to diffusion, this method can transport significantly more moisture from the wall in a shorter period of time. Upon entering the room the moisture diffuses, which is why the drying process can be accelerated by adding Trotec-Condenser Dryers to the drying process. This way, the humidity level in the room is also controlled.
- Workplace Heating – The infrared spot heating of the TIH 1100 S - stand or wall-mounted - also provides advantages on drafty or cool jobs, such as in warehouses, behind refrigerated counters, kiosks, at fairs or exhibitions, in church, in garages, in hobby rooms, or large halls.

The thermostat BN30 enables temperature control of heating devices and air conditioners in steps of half a degree from 5 °C up to 30 °C. To this end, simply plug the socket thermostat in between the heating device or air conditioner and a socket, and select the desired temperature. Via its integrated sensors, the device measures the current room temperature and regulates the heating device or air conditioner according to the desired nominal value.
The extremely simple handling and programming of the device enable a multitude of possible applications- for example, the BN30 is particulary suited for mobile heaters.
The respective current room temperature can be read conveniently from the large overview display, and the heating device or air conditioner can also be switched off permanently by the thermostat. Furthermore, the BN30 is protected by an integrated EEPROM so that in the event of a power failure, the stored settings are retained.
Practical tip: the best place to plug the BN30 is an interior wall.
