A water pipe sticking out of the wall, seasonal tree cutting, shredding plywood or cutting boards to size - on building sites, in the garden and in the household there are many sawing jobs that can be carried out particularly conveniently with a cordless sabre saw.
No matter whether straight and curved cuts, immersion saws or the flush sawing of protruding pipes: The equally compact and robust PRCS 10-20V cordless sabre saw (also called tiger saw, Recipro saw or "electric foxtail") is ideally suited for sawing plastics and building materials as well as wood and metal with the corresponding saw blades.
Long-lasting battery power - compatible with many other Trotec battery tools
The powerful and long-lasting 20V/2Ah lithium-ion battery ensures a long-lasting and consistently high sawing performance, even at low battery capacity. The 3-stage capacity indicator in the battery case shows the charge level at the touch of a button, even when the battery is not connected to the device. A completely discharged battery is 100% ready for use again after only 1 hour charging time with the quick charger included in the scope of delivery. The 20V/2Ah Flexpower multi-battery of the PRCS 10-20V can also be used with other Trotec PowerTools. A suitable additional battery is also available from Trotec.
Tool-free adjustable guide shoe with 30° inclination
The flexible guide shoe of the sabre saw adapts to the surface of the workpiece with an inclination of up to 30°. In order to make optimum use of the saw blade length and to set the respective cutting depth precisely, the guide shoe can be adjusted to the required length without tools. The cutting depth for wood is up to 100 mm on the PRCS 10-20V, 8 mm for metal and 10 mm for aluminium. If you also want to work with a saw blade that is higher than the recess in the guide shoe, you can simply remove the guide shoe.
Material-specific stroke adjustment
To ensure that you can saw any material reliably, the stroke rate - i.e. the speed of the saw blade movements - can be continuously adjusted between 0 and 3,000 min-1, even during operation, using the on/off switch: light pressure for the light stroke, full pressure for the full stroke rate. Simple and intuitive!

Switchable pendulum stroke
If necessary, you can optimise your sawing work by an additional pendulum movement of the saw blade of 20 mm. This is particularly useful if you want to make rapid progress with your work. Level 1 (pendulum movement on) is particularly suitable for soft materials and when sawing wood in the direction of the grain. However, when working hard or very thin materials and when the cutting edges are to be fine and clean, it is advisable to switch off the pendulum stroke (stage 0).
Saw blade change without tools
The saw blades can be changed in no time at all without additional tools thanks to the user-friendly quick-clamping device. An HCS wood saw blade (6 TPI) is already included in the delivery. Naturally, all "½" and S-shaft universal saw blades for wood and metal as well as flexible bi-metal saw blades for flush sawing fit on the saw. Trotec offers you 3 multi-part sabre saw blade sets for different materials and requirements as matching accessories.
Safety first
The ergonomic handle design, the rubberized soft grip inserts and the hand protection closure in the front area provide a secure non-slip grip and powerful, precise cut. Thanks to the optimum weight/size ratio, the PRCS 10-20V has the best handling characteristics in every working position. To protect against injuries, e.g. accidental switch-on, the cordless sabre saw is equipped with a switch-on lockout. In the supplied transport case, the power tool and accessories can be safely and conveniently taken anywhere or stored in a dustproof place.

What effect does a higher ampere-hour specification (Ah) have on the additional 20V battery?
The capacity of a battery is indicated in ampere hours (Ah). If an accumulator has a higher ampere rating, it can supply a device with the same amount of current over a longer period of time, thus enabling a longer runtime.
Example: A tool powered by a battery requires 0.2 A current per hour.
Power supply using a 1.5 Ah battery: 1.5 Ah / 0.2 A = 7.5 hours
Power supply using a 2.0 Ah battery: 2.0 Ah / 0.2 A = 10 hours
A battery with a capacity of 2.0 Ah guarantees up to 33% longer use of the device compared to a 1.5 Ah battery.
