BW10 pH Meter
Determines precisely the pH of acidic to alkaline solutions.
The BW10 pH meter is suitable for aquarium and plant lovers, as well as for Swimming pool owners. But also for professional applications, such as for measuring the pH levels for quality control in the food and beverage industry or for fast and reliable water control, the BW10 is a reliable companion.
Natural ponds are becoming increasingly popular in recent years. These are usually in a natural balance or without the addition of chemical auxiliaries. Nevertheless, to avoid unpleasant surprises a regular check of the pH can help. The pH can constantly be changed into acidic (pH <7) or alkaline (pH> 7) by rain or a refill with tap water, thus the Milieu also changes. The tolerance range for fish is between pH 6.5 and 8.5. Optimally, the pH of the pond water should be around pH 7 (neutral), while remaining preferably free of fluctuations over time.
But even with swimming pools and private pools adherence to and ensure regular monitoring of the correct pH value is essential, especially if they are located in the outdoor area. If the water is too acidic or too alkaline, it has not only an adverse affect on bathing people (eyes burning, itching), It also has an influence on the durability of the pool of materials used (corrosion, decomposition of calcareous materials, porosity, etc.) and the effectiveness of the added disinfectant. br>
Thanks to the automatic temperature compensation and the use of auto-calibration, the meter allows accurate, fast and precise determination of the pH value between pH 0 and pH 14 in the temperature range of 0 to 50 ° C. The device has been factory equipped via a 3-point calibration, which can be carried out using the accompanying pH buffer set at any time later with just a few clicks. The result of the test can be found in easy to read two-line displays. The calculated pH is simultaneously displayed with the water temperature, accurate to two decimal places - a separate instrument is therefore not necessary
The process-optimised BW10 pH meter has an easy replaceable pH electrode. The electrode and the water temperature sensor are kept preserved by a removable protective cap to prevent against damage. A comfortable hold function makes notes of the last measurements. A shutdown also reduces energy consumption of the four button batteries included in the delivery.
Benefits in practice:
- Two-line display for simultaneous display of pH and water temperature
- Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) for accurate measurements at different temperatures of the fluids to be tested
- Factory 3-point calibration

The device is already calibrated in the factory by means of a highly concentrated saline solution. In practice, this often leads to the formation of salt crystals on the diaphragm electrode (fiber bundle) later. The visible residues are perfectly normal for pH measuring electrodes of this type.
They are harmless to the electrode, can easily be rinsed with water and thus do not represent a quality deficiency!
