Optimum humidity with room humidifiers
The B 500 works according to the evaporation principle. There is no risk of limescale or condensation forming, nor is it possible to over-humidify the air.
The electronically controllable humidifier operates almost silently. Its particularly quiet radial fan can be regulated in four manual power levels or fully automatically. A built-in calibratable hygrostat controls the desired humidity. The infrared remote control enables secure humidifier operation: no unauthorised persons can change the settings on the unit!

The clear operating display with user-guided menu provides information on all operating settings such as water level, fan speed and relative room humidity. The self-diagnosis system indicates necessary filter changes and possible malfunctions including error code. By means of an integrated alarm module, malfunction messages can also be forwarded directly to an external or central alarm system, if required.
In addition to thorough air humidification, the unit filters and cleans the air, frees it from dust and prevents the formation of electrostatic charges.
Wireless sensor measurement up to 30 m distance
The wireless radio sensor system provides even more accurate and stable measured values. The battery-operated sensor can be easily and inconspicuously mounted at a suitable location within the measuring range ¹ - for example on the wall or ceiling - and ensures reliable regular measurement and control of the humidifier over a distance of up to 30 metres. When the battery charge status is low, an acoustic signal prompt for battery replacement is automatically given.

Easy maintenance and care due to modular design...
The plastic housing of the B 500 is antistatic, acid- and alkali-resistant, corrosion-resistant and inherently stable. Due to the modular design, the individual components can be easily dismantled for cleaning and maintenance without tools and the moving parts are protected by grids.
Furthermore, the unit has a slosh protection and switches off automatically when the tank is empty.
The B 500 can be optionally equipped with a manual or fully automatic rinsing device to reduce salt concentrates in the water and calcification phenomena.

Raising humidity to 50% reduces the risk of virus transmission
Specialists have evaluated research results on the resistance of viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19)) to humidity and temperature. It turned out that only low temperatures and low humidity allow long survival periods of the viruses. Although the survival rate of the viruses was still long at medium temperatures of 20-30 °C, this was only the case if the air was very dry at the same time. And very high temperatures above 30 °C make the coronaviruses inactive. This means that we offer the virus ideal climatic conditions in our buildings with temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees and a humidity of 20 to a maximum of 40 %. Then again, maybe we shouldn't!
The specialists emphasise that we can reduce the risk of infection by increasing the humidity in buildings. For example, raising the air humidity to around 50 % by humidification leads to reduced risk of transmission. Humidification can be used in private and professional environments. Furthermore, humidified air improves the respiratory defence system through more efficient purification of the respiratory tract and improved immune response.
