The special AirgoClean active carbon filter acts as catalyst, which reduces oxidant from the air and at the same time adsorbs air pollutants. Activated carbon has a highly porous structure, accumulate at the examined particles. The inner surface of only 4 grams of activated carbon is approximately the size of a football field. Therefore, the AirgoClean air purifiers do not require additional third prefilter for the HEPA filter.
